OUR MISSION

Inspiring vitality through educational programming and providing an exemplary representation of the arts within the St. Louis Community.

Founded in 2019 by Artistic Director, Brandon Fink La Voûte has become St. Louis' newest hub for the performing arts and offers a variety of opportunities for local artists to flourish.

Our Summer Intensive Series is offered between June - September each year and provides a creative outlet to aspiring color guard performers. Participants choose from varying class levels (Introductory, Apprentice, and Professional) offered for dance, flag, rifle, and sabre training. Each class offers technical, performance, and choreographic challenges geared toward the performer's skill set. La Voûte also offers a Masterclass Series between December - February each year. Participants are offered the opportunity to take class (contemporary, jazz, ballet, modern, etc.) with a professional dancer from the St. Louis community alongside cast members of the current La Voûte Performance Ensemble.

La Voûte Performance Ensemble hosts auditions for the competitive winter guard season each year in September. Eligible cast members (ages 18-23) exemplify professional skills in movement, flag, and/or weapon (rifle, sabre) training. LVPE schedules their preseason rehearsals between October - December and their performance schedule spans from January - April. The cast performs locally under the scope of the Mid Continent Color Guard Association (MCCGA) as well as nationally via Winter Guard International (WGI).

La Voûte, meaning arched or vaulted, is the namesake chosen for the organization because of its French origin and influence throughout St. Louis. The water color was abstracted from the colors found in the St. Louis flag to create the back ground. Within the text there are references to the Gateway Arch, the Mississippi River, and the fleur-de-lis. Throughout the creative process, founding members worked closely with graphic designers Emma McGuire and Nami Rutherford to develop the final product.
